ePrivo.eu: An Online Service for Automatic Web Tracking Discovery

Given the pervasiveness of web tracking practices on Internet, many countries are developing and enforcing new privacy regulations to ensure rights their citizens. However, discovering websites that do not comply with those is becoming very challenging, given dynamic nature or use obfuscation techniques. This work presents ePrivo, a online service can help Internet users, website owners, regulators inspect how privacy-friendly is. The system explores all content website, including traffic from third parties dynamically modified content. ePrivo combines different state-of-the-art detection classification methods, TrackSign, discover both previously known zero-day methods. After 6 months service, detected largest browsing history trackers more than 40k domains cookies lifespan longer one year, which forbidden in some countries.
